Looking Back at Steve Prefontaine

When I read Jeff Pearlman’s piece about the possible loss of the cross country team at the University of Delaware, I couldn’t help but think about one of the greatest long distance runners in NCAA history —Steve Prefontaine of the University of Oregon.

I did some digging around YouTube and found some incredible footage of Prefontaine from the late 1960s and early 1970s in a two–part compilation.
